I know other builders are a little bit more expensive, but its worth it. I went through 2 Superintendents, 1 Project manager, 1 warranty specialist, and one sales person during the process of building my home. The turnover is crazy. The service technician that works for the builder that came out to fix one of the dozen problems I have had said "they hire the cheapest contractors and I have to come out here and fix everything" The electrician that wired my home no longer works with Burkentine. Run.. Do not rent from them. I did my due diligence of not only making sure that I paid in full of my lease, but that I replaced every single lightbulb. They will find a way to take half if not all of your security deposit. When I moved in, I paid $1525. When the new tenants moved in, they are now paying $1950. The carpet or flooring has not been replaced. The tubs clog when asking for them to fix the linoleum floor, they will patch with caulking and call it a day. The boys have ruined the reputation of this business.

I bought a brand new 330,000 home with burkentine and during my walk through I noticed multiple second story windows didn’t have screens! We moved in November 2020. I was told I would get my screens ASAP it’s now July 2021 and still no screens!! I have contacted them numerous times about the screens and my gutters they are separated from the house and rain just leaks through. Again I was told ASAP and nothing!!! I have been in my Burkentine Home for two years now and wanted to give a review/update. I want to approach this is as objective as possible. To start, Bryce was able to sell the house I was living in at the time. Mike and Stacy worked hard with me to find a plot of land for the build. Mike was great in negotiated the terms once we found land. The framers, drywallers, and painters did a good job with no major issues of squeaking, cracking, or nail pops. We went to see their model home a few times. It was beautiful, and my fiance and I had fallen in love with it. We decided to inquire about the pricing, we told them we wanted everything that was in the model home with a slightly larger deck and asked them for an estimate.
