Dr. Deutsch is no longer there but we were still happy with care We recently changed to Burke Vet based on the many wonderfull reviews we read about Dr. Deutsch. I believe he is retired now because he is no longer at the practice. However we have seen both Dr. Alt & Dr. Wilson and have been pleased with the care.
Burke Vet Clinic This clinic was recommended by a friend of mine and I had moved from another state so I was very skeptical since I hated leaving my other vet practice. I loved everything about it - small and personal and Dr. Alt was very good at explaining my pets' ailment and could have prescribed me a bunch of meds that cost alot, but said he would rather start with one and see how it works so I didn't have to purchase something that my pet didn't need. The Best I've seen! The staff and doctors are the greatest! They have cared for our pets for 15 years and we have always had our expectations exceeded by their great care.
thanks for everything Dr. Deutsch took very special care of one of my kitties, who has a rare and potentially fatal condition and also needs to be handled carefully because she's temperamental and hates vets. I always felt like my kitty and I were in good hands and that she would get the best of care. I was willing to drive 30 miles in DC traffic just to take her there. Unfortunately I've moved out of the area now and have to find another vet ... it won't be easy to match this!
Dr. Deutsch I unfortunately have to have my sweetheart cat Cleo put to sleep tomorrow morning but I am put at ease because of the loving and caring staff at Burke Vet Clinic. Dr. Deutsch has personally seen all 4 of my cats and is closing Cleo's eyes for the last time to end her suffering. I would have no one else do this for her. He's a wonderful and caring individual who loves animals about as much as I do, if not more.
Mega Kudos I have lots of experience with vets over the years, large and small animals. So let me cut to the chase ... This vet is one of the best diagnosticians I have ever met; he doesn't have to run a stream of expensive tests to diagnose a problem -- he can tell you right there at the table where to begin. And in my experience, he's always been right on. He is thorough, professional, and never gives up! If your pet can be saved, he's your man! Trust me, his prices are a bargain -- you get what you pay for and then some!
Great care... I can't stand it when a doctor or vet will try to sell you on unnecessary tests - Dr. Deutsch doesn't do that! He tells you how he sees it and gives you the options and that's that; he's great!
Wonderful - A+ Dr. Deutsch and his staff provide a wonderful, professional service to animals and their owners. In fact, now that we no longer live in VA I still email my questions and concerns to Dr. Deutsch because I truely value his opinion and expertise. We wish he and his staff still cared for our animals because of their top rate service. Burke VA is lucky to have him in practice.
