Amorem Palliative care is horrible. Nurses and PA'S are not responsive. We have been calling since Friday and of course palliative care dose not work weekends(apparently pain doesn't happen over the weekend). We were aware of this and that was why we tried to get the situation taken care of prior to the weekend. It is now Monday late afternoon and I have been calling asking for help since 7:30 am with nothing to show for it. Going to a different care group ASAP.
Amorem was the hospice chosen for my mother at conover nursing and rehabilitation. Neither the hospice staff nor the nursing home staff told me my mother had passed. I’m five states away and had been advocating for my mom long distance. But being gay was most likely the problem All amorem did was keep her medicated. I wanted palliative care but was shut out of any decisions.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Common areas and rooms are very nice looking. They make the reason for being there as easy as humanly possible.
This is the one place I never worry about my mother. She gets great care. Everyone's very thorough, kind and loving.
