In a physical sense Burbank Heights is a beautiful place to live: The current manager ruins your senior home experience by playing favors & retaliating against any resident she does not personally like because they are a whistle blower when the manager is acting in an illegal manner; by violating CA tenant rights. This creates a "fearful" environment for seniors, making them afraid to speak up. Also very dangerous habitability issues go unreported.
I like this place, nice gardens and a sweet little walk. My mother has lived here for a number of years. Recently, she had an infestation of fleas and had to leave her apartment for 3 months. The management told her to fix it herself, and refused to acknowledge the issue. The exterminators cam multiple times. She is 74 years old and has Parkinson's disease.
