Our service was wonderful! Quiet, intimate, conversational. The halibut was amazing! Flaky but juicy - that is difficult to attain. The scallops were chewy and gritty. The caramel gelato was the bomb! TreFiori was perfect with our meal. Let it warm.,
We have never had a bad experience here since moving to the area 16 years ago. We love that it’s a neighborhood gem and that it hasn’t really changed in all that time. We enjoy the slower pace and have had some very memorable meals together and with friends and family. When I read the subpar reviews I have to wonder what the person was expecting. It’s not a chain. This is a family, doing what they love, creating a space for their community to enjoy. We support that!
This place was awful! We were seated thirty minutes past our reservation time with no apologies. We watched as other groups of people walking in after us were seated before us. Our server was inattentive to us but seemed to be interacting great with all the other tables around us. She was always in a rush to walk away. 5 Stars! Buona Sera looks like a large stucco house in a well-kept neighborhood on the corner of Douglas Drive and West River Road in Champlin, but it’s anything but average or ordinary! Absolutely love this restaurant. The dishes are always fresh and unique. The wine list is also quite extensive with the wait staff always at the ready to make the perfect pairing. Highly recommended....
