Our wood cooked BBQ is hard to beat! Mix it with our good old fashioned collards and our award winning Banana Pudding and you've got yourself one fine meal! We also offer catering services. You can choose a location, and we will come and serve, or you can have your party in one of our auxiliary dining rooms. We can serve anything you like, even a dessert of your choice! Great place to eat. Just wish it was closer to home.
If I've ever had better BBQ and ribs, l sure can't remember it. And "sufferin' succotash", the succotash was awesome. Apparently family owned and operated for decades. Definitely worth the 2 hour ride, each way, for lunch.
Bum’s catered a party for us and did a wonderful job! They were on time and came ready with delicious food as promised. Totally prepared, professional and a pleasure to work with! I would happily recommend!

A real family restaurant.....not only catering to families but owned and operated by four generations of the Dennis Family. Specializing in Southern Country Cooking....even growing many of the vegetables that they are well known for....especially the collards, cabbage, squash and corn. Eastern NC Barbecue cooked on premises with wood. Those that move away always return for “home cooking”. I was a frequent customer for over 30 years before moving from area.
