I'm a broker and deal with a lot of management companies in NYC. And I do not have kind words for the vast majority. Building Equity has been great - always responsive and helpful. Couldn't recommend more!
Dealing with this management company has been exhausting. The owners are temperamental, dishonest and more concerned with their egos than the well-being of tenants. Communication is inconsistent, promises are rarely kept and basic respect doesn't exist. If you value honesty and professionalism, look elsewhere
I have lived in NYC for over 15 years and had many different management companies between various apartment buildings, let alone three over the last few years at my current place. Alex Yelon has always been very helpful and responsive to my requests and issues. Apartment was a great deal and the landlord was fair. Would rent from them again.
Aaron Shirazi showed me an incredible apartment in Manhattan just recently. Even though I did not get approved for the apartment he was super helpful throughout the application process. I appreciate his professionalism and it is a great reflection of his company as a whole. I hope to work with building equity management in the near future!
