I brought my Volkswagen Jetta 2003 to the Bug Shop twice for head light bub replacement and ignition coil problem check. I was really comfortable with their services. Excellent service, reasonable price, and nice people!
THE BEST!! We were on vacation and passing through Blacksburg Va on our way home to Norfolk, Va and were having problems with the throttle and gas peddle. Jewel spent over an hour working on our 1967 VW Bus and didn't charge us a dime!!! He just wanted us to get home safely. THANK YOU!! You just don't find many people like him anymore.
Great shop and great prices – My expereince at the Bug Shop was excellent. They were very professional and were easy to deal with. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and solved my problem with ease. I own a Lexus so they are definitely able to work on cars other than VW's. If I had taken the car to a dealer (the closest one is in Richmond), I would have been charged way more for the same job. Honest as the day is long – I walked into the Bug shop as a distant visitor from Alberta Canada. They could have taken me for a ride because they did not know me from Adam and visa versa. However, Juel and his team did amazing work on my difficult and troublesome problem with my Turbo. It is rare to find mechanics who not only do good work but charge a reasonable price for labor. Service and Prices you can trust! – Don't let the name fool you. These guys work on every kind of car and truck, not just VWs! I am continually amazed by their low prices for labor. (That's really where the dealers seem to stick it to you!) as well as the best prices on parts. If you have an urgent need ( for example, my daughter needed a new battery installed asap) they can get you in at a moment's notice. They have a pick-up/delivery service as well. the service i recieved was great at first,but when i came back due to a mistake,i was met with indifferance and suspicion.i didnt like that.i paid them 1400 dollars to replace the crankshaft,and two weeks later its broke again.i expected them to be responsive,instead i got the ol, "well, bring it by and well look at it"i didnt want bring it by,i wanted,for the 1400 i paid,a "we'll come get it and take a look"
Where they know me by name :) – Always an explanation and fair price. They do their best to get me in and out while I wait. I am a female college student and never have felt uncomforable. Genuinely nice guys. Experts on German make vehicles. Highly recommended!
