Waited for food for 40 minutes or more and it came out cold and burnt dry wings covered up by sauce then the waitress disappeared and had to wait longer for the bill. We weren't even offered anything for the inconvenience.

I like this restaurant even though Royal Oak can be very popular and busy. I have had decent food in my various visits. Service is not good on weekends, but it is spot on during the weekdays. I don't care for the seating in the bar area as the chairs are very small and uncomfortable.

The security guard is unprofessional. Came up to our table where we were eating to tell us to leave. It was 15 minutes past closing time on a Sunday. Our bill was paid for, we tipped over 25 % on a $60 bill and were finishing our meal. He tells us “I can’t leave until you guys leave”. Never in all my hospitality days have I ever seen this. Absolutely disgusting behavior. If anything, a manager should have told us to go. Disappointing.
