My experience here is everything wrong with the medical system in our country. On my first visit, for back pain that would not go away, I was seen by a Doctor who seemed quite good who told me to keep seeing if physical therapy would help and come back if it did not. I returned for a second visit several months later, because my back pain had not gone away, and was seen for 10 minutes by a physician assistant who without any review of my case simply ordered an MRI. The first doctor I had here was very nice, a woman, Dr. Cicceti I think? She sent me for pt and said if it didn't make me feel better she would send me for an mri after my follow up appointment. Had my follow up appointment with a different doctor, male, I think Dr. O? My pain got worse after PT, so I told him what the first doctor said. He wasn't very friendly. Told me sometimes insurance makes you do 12 pt visits before doing an mri (and I was NOT paying to continue to do something that left me in horrible pain), and that ... read more
