Prescribed Gabapentin for chronic osteoarthritis pain. This drug is for nerve pain not joint. Also sanctioned SCS which he knew, according to medical records, would not work for me.
The prescription he gave contained aspirin and I have a reaction to aspirin. I had explained this to him. When I called for something else the receptionist suggested over the counter meds. If they were working for me I would not have needed to seek pain management. she said it would take one or two days for further suggestions, never received a call back.
Nice office and staff. Dr. spent time with me and I did not feel rushed.
The doctor did NOT listen. He asked questions several times that I had already answered. He latched on to my neuropathy - when my main & major complaint is the constant hip pain. The medication he was pushing would NOT help with my bone on bone hip pain - but it would help the neuropathy. I needed medication that is stronger than the 800mg of ibuprofen that I take all day, every day to alleviate the pain until the replacement. I walked away with an anti-depressant.
Injections are very painful, he does not use enough anesthetic.
Outstanding experience. Highly skilled and knowledgeable. Very appropriate approach to treatment. Takes time to explain what is causing the issue and exactly what the treatment might be. He gives you plenty of latitude in choosing what treatments you would like to try. A very interactive approach. The office atmosphere is friendly, happy, and helpful.
