Excellent service from a local shop that I know & trust Gary's Budget Transmission shop is a local one that I have come to know and trust. Response to the lies I am Gary the owner of Budget Transmissions and this is a complete lie! Two sides to every story! I demanded cash only from her mother after she proceeded to cuss me out and tell me how I am ripping her off. She then proceeded to threaten that she would dispute the charge because of the prices. That is essentially the same as bouncing a check, and like any business, we don't work for free. All of the prices were authorized up front prior to any repairs taking place. Refused payment twice and held the car... Had the clutch on my daughter's car replaced there the week of Jan 10, 2008. When I tried to pay with a credit card by phone from out of state on 1/15/08, the owner, Gary, tried to add an additional 3.2% "visa charge" fee. They charged her over $800 to replace the cluch on her Jetta. That's $337.50 just for labor.
