This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a rental company. We were taken advantage of several times when renting a car through budget at the Alexandria Airport. The first day we went to get a rental they told us they didn’t have any after we spoke with someone on the phone telling us they did. We were told to book online for the next morning and come back. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Reserved two vans 8 months in advance from AEX location. Showed up and they had nothing but a 5 seater Cadillac. Was treated like a dog and given no solution for help. Avoid AEX Budget rentals at all cost.
Terrible. This Budget/Avis location does everything to overcharge the customer. They charge for extra insurance on pickup when not ordered and don’t ask if you want it in advance - they just slide the charges in. At drop off - charged me for “driving the car under 75 miles”. Later reclassified charge as “fuel”. Tank was filled 2.6miles from airport, I showed them the gas receipt on my phone and a pic of full tank on dashboard. Had several credit cards with the amount needed to complete the booking, was given the run around 2 days in a row after 5 visits to try and figure out a solution, we got nothing. The cashiers don’t know what credit cards are accepted by the company which makes it confusing and stressful, I could pay in cash credit cards or debit card and all were denied. I’m not sure how anyone retrieves rentals form This location. Will not use budget again
