I ended up getting a unique ring exactly the way I wanted it (width, beveling, finishing, engraving), and was able to choose a small (non-diamond) gemstone to set in it as well. Turn-around time was quick (around one week), and the price was very reasonable. Comparable designs that I was finding online were looking like it would be ~$2200+ cad pre-tax without the gemstone.
