I have had 3 terrible experiences renting cars here and I usually go to EWR but the location is close to me so I still try to give them a chance and always end up disappointed. The card machines are never working, they are just there for display. I have made 5 reservations here and have only been able to get a car twice because for some reason, my Amex always fails to swipe (only happens with them) and they don’t have the ability to tap or a chip reader. I read a lot of negative comments so before I had to pick up the car I was a bit worried. That was certainly not justified. I came to pick up the car in the morning and there were already three employees downstairs on the ground floor doing the administration. Within 5 minutes we could already go to the 2nd floor to pick up the car. No hard to find. The only negative thing is that the car I rented was not clean, smelled of smoke and was quite damaged and not fuelled with gasoline.

Don’t rent or return here!!! Difficult to find , no indications on return. It says 4th floor but there’s nothing there. So I had to drive back to ground floor. I was charged late fee for no reason. I waited for while in a queue to return the car and they charged extra 90$ (a days charge) for this time.

Terrible signage/location. Super sketchy drop off, looks like you’re giving the car away to some random people. No signage, no proper Budget shirt or anything to say they’re actually from the company. Car drop off is in the WEST garage, Level B. Once you go up the ramp it’s to the left, toward the red stairwell. In the mall, the kiosk is by Vans, Banter, & Bath & Body Works. They were like “you’re good” and sent me on my way but I wasn’t going to leave til I had the receipt as I disnt want fake charged added on after I left.... read more

It is difficult to find. It is in the mall itself in a kiosk. No signage to help. No attendants in the parking lot to help you find your car. They give you the parking lot level and the row number. From there you need to use the key fob to find the specific car. Car hadn't seen a car wash. Not to fear though, things can get worse. Specifically, the check in.
