Worst rental car place ever. Twice I've rented here, booked an expensive car, they haven't had it, so they tell me they'll give me another lesser car that won't meet my needs. I decided to wait forever to get my car. I think they got one out of storage. It was dirty, worn, ran terrible. I know Fords are crappy cars to begin with, but this was just trash. Terrible management, terrible service

Budget Garbage very poor representation at front desk staff, we will never rent from Budget or Avis again, staff members need to learn better English! We book in advance hoping for smooth transfer NOT , they swap our car out last min and then we decided to return for our original vehicle booking hrs after , they couldn’t send me my rental contract through email do to technical difficulties of some sort? Terrible, terrible, terrible. If there was an option below 1 star I would have given these incompetent fools, starting with the company down to the person behind the counter. I have a confirmation email for a reservation that is for 42 days total. when I picked up the car the person at the counter said he has to split the time into 30 days and 12 days because that's what they do. Worst car rental experience I’ve ever had! 1. On 1/22/26, despite having prepaid the full 156.86, Budget staff at SNA John Wayne Airport tried to charge me again at pickup, as my prepay wasn’t showing up on his end. He had to pull the proof from my phone. He asked if wanted insurance, told him I have my own, agreed I would NOT be getting extra insurance. Signed screen, went on my way. 2.
