Budget being iconic, we waited 2 hours for a car that we prepaid from a month ago, while there were people in line who walked in to rent a car. Even though they didnt help us to get a car sooner, but their manager was nice enough to give me her phone, so I can call customer service. Customer service was absolutely not helpful.
We had to stand in 3 pickup counter lines because this company is sometimes together with Avis, and sometimes not. Underground pickup location is confusing and missing signage. Phone support tried to charged me $100 to drop it off a day early. A nice woman corrected their error when we returned the car. Never again though the customer experience is awful through Budget\Costco Travel.
Made a reservation for pick up at 7:30am for a seven seater vehicle. When I got to the counter I was told there are three people ahead of me and I can wait 45 minutes for a car to arrive or look for another vehicle through another agency. I asked why if I made the reservation for a certain type a vehicle would you take the rental and now I’m waiting until someone decides to bring the vehicle back. The worker who checked us in lied about gas refueling. Told us not to buy before we drop it off because their refill prices were much cheaper. Never having seen cheaper gas prices at an airport I decided to call Budget to find out. $9.99/gal to refill thru Budget. Local gas prices $5.50/gal. I hate liars. There's another review with a picture of the desk clerk that checked us in and pulled the same crap on him as he did on us. Avoid John Wayne Budget and Budget period.
Avion (I think that’s how spell her name) Was so unbelievably kind and an angel sent from heaven when my friend and I were stranded. Amazing customer service and she went above and beyond to help my friends and me. Thank you Avion! (There was a man at the front desk when I was picking up my car who was making me uncomfortable pressuring me and questioning my car insurance because I didn’t want to buy theirs maybe have him take a lesson from Avion)
