Update: Went to enterprise in the front instead and got a nice car for even cheaper! Took less than 5 minutes and they were very nice! They state on the customer service line that they only require an ID, insurance and the card you are paying for. Got there and tried to use my debit and they asked for bank statements and also ran a credit screening on us before we were told that was going to be ran. Just pay extra and go to enterprise. Avoid at all costs. Not the place you want to be renting from. Unprofessional. Unnecessary charges. False commitment. Filing complaints.
This is a suggestion to all the customers never ever leave the fuel tank half filled at budget / Avis. I literally forgot to fill up the tank and the tank had almost 3/4th fuel and for the remaining 1/4th fuel I was charged around 34$ where they say per gallon they charge 9.99$ where here we get to fill up the tank with 19$ in gas stations. This is a very bad policy these companies have. They are literally robbing the customers with the high prices when your tank is not filled up. Please be aware of this !!
-1 if I could. I hate feeling like I was taken advantage of. Recently rented a vehicle, and was charged a late fee + an additional day for following the guidelines provided by their rep. Help me understand that one. I'm eager to hear from someone regarding this....
Planned a weekend trip to Galveston and they called me 2 hours before I'm supposed to pick up the car and state they don't have any cars available. Had to call the corporate office to get my money refunded. The way this company does business is disgraceful. Update due to reply from business: My solution would be to have a system that will not let people make reservations for cars when there are not enough to go around, that way you don't have to call the customer 2 hours before pick up time and ruin their weekend.
