I would highly encourage you to rent a car from a different location based on the complete lack of professionalism at this one. My reasoning is listed below. This was the most unprofessional and uncomfortable rental car experience I’ve ever had. I picked the car up at Budget Car Rental / Avis Car Rental in Georgetown, and shortly after driving it. The Staff was super nice and helpful. We got a very new car in clean and perfect condition! Be aware that the station closes at 18:00 and be on time!
One star is one too many. DO NOT RENT A CAR ON SUNDAY. They do not have drivers to bring the cars on Sunday so they frequently have zero cars available, but the reservation system will allow you to reserve a car anyway. When we went to pick up our car they showed us a list of 25 people who had not been able to get their cars that day. I will never rent a car from budget without first calling the office to confirm that there will be a car waiting for me.
While the location in Georgetown is convenient, the staff simply have no customer service skills. I truely believe the two woman running Budget & Avis go out of their way to make the rental experience as unpleasant as possible.
IF only you were to listen to me and STAY AWAY. A few years ago l had a horrendous experience with Budget in a location that, not surprisingly, had to close. Yet, I decided to try again simply because it was supposed to be at walking distance from home. MISTAKE. Would you believe that when l showed up at the 'pick up location' shown in the confirmation email there was no Budget office there? (Please see the picture attached.)
