Whoa! First off my surprise vehicle was…. Surprise! An electric vehicle in Tennessee. I politely declined paid the extra $$ a day and grabbed my Highlander to find it reeking of blunt smoke. Like, so much so that I’m afraid to park next to colleagues or what if I get pulled over? I can’t believe they allowed this vehicle back on the road. I know it’s budget but holy smoke. 💨
I wanted to cancel my reservation more than 10 days out and they charged me $50 to cancel. I called customer service to discuss and was on the phone 20 minutes and they hung up on me. I could understand a fee to cancel within 24 hours but not 10+ days out. No other rental agency I've dealt with does that. Bottom line - don't rent a car from Budget!
They didn't have the van i wanted so they give me a larger van. I had a 3 1/2 day drive that was painful and very uncomfortable the whole trip. I was beyond happy to get the van back to the company!
I normally rent whenever I travel more than 100 miles from the house as just anything can happen on the road. Being in your personal vehicle one has to pay out of pocket plus a stay and most importantly lost time as many car rentals around my Number 1 is Budget but I go to the neighborhood one on Clinton highway in Knoxville TN the service, professional attitude to what your needing and they welcome you like one should
