Today I rented a car online through budget and PREPAID for the car with Apple Pay, which is offered though the budget website. I received a confirmation and I was charged. When I went to pick up my car I was told after much back and forth that they could not “honor”my reservation because they do not know how to use the Apple Pay. The desk lady made me talk to the “manager” who immediately started screaming at me on the phone, used profanity and told me I “he didn’t have to do anything to help me” after I gave them everything... read more
Great rental experience. We rented the car in Washington, DC and returned it in Manhattan, New York. When we arrived, the line was really long, but the lady at the counter kept her calm and continued serving all customers professionally and efficiently. She was very helpful, and we were able to add another driver to the reservation on the spot without any issue. Very disappointed They say your debit/ credit card wasn’t accepted, and they didn’t give me the car. Later same day the bank deducted the rent fee + $200 deposit from my bank account .. THEFT Now it needs 10 business days for refund with no business i made with them!! When i discussed this with branch manager he says u need to leave the store and he even didn’t make any apologies!! So rude
Please be aware on the phone when you ask do they do credit checks they say no but when you get there they do don't waste your time or a inquiry on your credit report for a rental car don't rent with budget or Avis go to enterprise
