Buddy's is Best – This was the best pizza when I was a kid growing up in the Detroit area, it remained the best when I was a young man in college--when no trip to Tiger Stadium was complete without a visit to Buddy's either before or after the game--and it is still the best pizza. I never visit Detroit without visiting Buddy's.
Overrated!!! – For the price you pay, you'd think this was the best pizza in the world. I'm here to say IT'S NOT!! The service is slow, the pizza is cold, and the sauce is boreing to the taste buds. They have been getting by on reputation alone. Once these people start trying other pizza in town they will soon relize that they have been dup'ed by Buddy's.
Detroit Pizza is underrated – I have lived in both New York and Chicago and have heard rave reviews about the pizza from those cities. Personally, nothing compares to Buddy's (and Shield's) pizza in Detroit. I don't know what the problem is with Detroit - it just doesn't seem to know how to get the word out about its finer features. Yum! – The pizza is good, but the Anti-Pasto Salad is the best! With the Homemade dressing on the side, you never have too much. A great touch to a fun and fairly inexpensive night out, with a playful atmosphere. Perfect for family dinners!
Pizza? I think not. – While visiting Michigan everyone raved about Buddy's Pizza-- so I just had to go. I waited to be seated as this place which was packed so I thought it had to be good. I loved to retro styled dining area & the servers were kind but the pizza was not good. It tasted very heavily laiden in grease & tasted exactly like a cheese-doodle! As weird as that might sound. It was not very fresh tasting & it was a disppointment. :O( I will not return.
Da Best ZA! – A large supreme, yum! Cold leftover pie with milk for breakfast double yum! Antipasto salad overflows the bowl. Seriously the best traditional deep dish pizza.
Buddy's for a Lifetime! – Ever since I can remember my parents have taken me to Buddy's Pizzeria for pizza and salad. The deep dish, can't be beat. Anyone who wants good pizza, needs to travel here.
Buddy's is the Best! – There's no other place in the metro area to find a pizza like this. Square, cheesy slices with almost any topping you could possibly ask for wait for you to come and sink your teeth into them. Excellent sauce, high-quality toppings, and sometimes different ways of baking help make Buddy's Pizza the best there is! The pepperoni is placed under the cheese to prevent scorching and for extra flavor. If I was to make my own, I wouldn't make it any other way.
Buddys Pizza Detroit's Best For 30 Years – the best pizza in Detroit without any doubt. Go to the original on 6 mile and conant and visit wih Erv the host since 1972... Play a game of Bocci ball, eat an antipasto salad, try their ravioli and consume the sinfully sumptuous pizza that is Buddys. There are many Buddys locations BUT only one original Buddys.
