Buckhorn Boat Doc is the best. I call Bob the outboard whisperer. He's an amazing tech, but also very honest and reasonably priced, which is very rare to find in the marine repair business.

Absolutely awesome! I am in NC for work which requires a boat. The other we were dead in the water, broken part that would take a week to 10 days to get. I stopped by Buckhorn Boat Doc to see if he might have what I needed, he didn't, hard to find part. I was getting ready to leave and Bob said "let me see that thing again". After looking at it for a few minutes he said"I'll make you one".Bob dropped what he was doing and machined a new part for me and within a couple of hours we were back on the water working. Highly Recommend Buckhorn Boat Doc. We were stranded on 95 with a blown boat trailer tire. We have US Boat Unlimited towing and service and they wanted us to wait for 2 hours after we had already been waiting for an hour 1 before they dispatched. They also said it would be $220+ for a tire and $228 for two hours of service. I called Buckhorn from a google search, they immediately found a tire and rim said he'd be there after loading up in 15-20 minutes and he was right on time. Let me start by saying my experience with bob and buckhorn boat doc has by far exceeded all expectations , went above and beyond to fix my issues and even helped me out on a huge problem that another mechanic ripped me off and stated he fixed when he really almost total lost my motor , bob really came to the rescue I will say I am hooked , I will never go to another shop for work on my boats from now on buckhorn boat doc is my main mechanic ! Great people and my service so far has been wonderful and I have receive many updates on the progress of my boat . They are very professional and care about there customers . I am reomending all the people i know to have boats to check them out . I been taking my boat a hour and a half away to get worked on but now I will always go to Buckhorn Boat Doc for all my needs . Haven’t had much experience with boats and boat motors BUT I can say this I went in for a preventative maintenance job. Gear oil,water pump,plugs,coils,and minor wiring issue. And went to pick it up and Bob ran it for me to ease my mind. Bob was showing me how to bleed the oil reservoir and he noticed a problem he didnt like, immediately shut it off. Torn it down while I was there and showed me the problem. I can’t thank this business enough Buckhorn Boat Dock you have my full respect.

Bob and his staff are well trained and very knowledgeable about any and everything you could possibly need for your boat or marine needs. There service is second to none and prices are very affordable. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Thanks Bob for everything you do!
