We reviewed and received quotes from 5 different foundation companies and finally decided to do business with Buchman's. Scott was very easy to do business with and he was straight forward with explanations, recommendations and answered all our questions. We contracted with Buchman in 2016 for basement wall cracks and leakage following heavy rains. Though it was a very busy time for foundation repair, Christi contacted me back the same day and Scott was out to get a look at the foundation on my schedule. Scott was very upfront about the initial options that we had and we chose to have the cracks in the wall pressure sealed. Regarding the post on 6/29/18 from Ben, I am the owner of this property. Ben was the tenant. Buchmann was great to work with. They communicated with me frequently and often. They fixed the problem in my house and I haven’t had any water in basement since they did the repair. I’m very happy. The tenant on the other hand vacated the property after owing me three months rent. In 2005 we bought a house that was built around 1977. Within three years we began to have issues with water leaking into the finished basement. We located a crack in the foundation and had it pressure injected by a friend which temporarily solved the problem. About 5 years ago we still had water leaking into the basement through another crack. We called another foundation company (they advertise a lot) hoping for a definitive resolution to this problem. <p>NO FOLLOW-THROUGH. I called Buchman on 12/20/18 to take a look at my mom's foundation. Spoke to Christie and got a very good impression of them. She told me they'd call me back after Christmas to set up some time to bid. I said if I hadn't heard back by Jan 7, I'd call them. I hadn't heard back by Mon., Jan 7 so I called and left a message and reminded them of our earlier call. No response. I called them again on Thur. Absolutely horrible!! They have been in our rental hired by the rental company 4 to 5 times having correct issues that were not addressed the first time. On top of that the workers did not cover my property within the household with plastic causing all of our furniture, clothing etc to be covered in dust. Twice. My brother and I were doing a lot of work on our mother's house in Kansas City shortly after she passed away. The most HORRIBLE company and HORRIBLE people I have ever been associated with, and I'm amazed that they are in business with such horrid customer service. They installed a sump pump while I was in the hospital for emergency back surgery. Even though I was scheduled to be back home in 24 hours, and told them I would give them a check for their service when I returned home, they had the NERVE to REMOVE the already installed sump pump until they got their money right there on the spot.
