I have been a real estate investor for the past 20 years and have used many different inspectors. Mr. B******* is by far the most thorough and best inspector I have worked with. I can't recommend him highly enough. If you are able to hire him you will not be disappointed. He is the best

I scheduled an inspection with him. He never showed up. He did not answer his phone. I had to call him from a different number and he answered and said he was busy so couldn't show up. We rescheduled, he never showed up to that appointment either. He said he would call but never did. Each time I called him more than once and he ignores the calls and doesn't answer. He lies and says he is in traffic but he isn't even on his way to you. He says he will call you back but never does. Horrible business person. Unreliable. If you ... read more

I have used Don two times personally and have sent him many referrals of my friends and family. He is professional, courteous and most importantly meticulous. He noticed thing my naked untrained eye never would have caught. In one instance it helped me re-negotiate price and saved me a whole bunch of cash! I highly recommend Don Buchanan as a home inspector. He was competitively priced and I received my results the very next day each time.

I hired the inspector as a 203K consultant. Scheduling was difficult and it was apparent that inspections is a just a side business for this person. The report itself was of very poor quality, no photos, poor detailing, numerous safety items were missed out completely - I compared with another report on the same property. Communication was also poor, and as a result I lost 2 weeks of precious time scheduling and waiting for the report and eventually unable to close on the house.
