Great Drinks - Rude Staff – When my date chose bubble lounge I was excited as I am a champagne lover--great drinks made combo w/ champagne and tequila. BUT--I actually got told to remove my foot from the table--which I was *barely* doing. With staff members like that...it really takes away the "loungy" aspect! They should call it "Bubble Annoy the Patrons".
A sparkly standby that makes any occasion special. – Bubble's dark, swanky ambience and huge selection of champagnes intoxicate many a young transplant to the big city. Bright-eyed singles bypass the bar to sprawl in the plush sofas and chairs arrayed throughout the spacious, high-ceilinged lounge. All around great place – I've been here twice, once for a friends birthday (large group) and once on a date. Both times, this place was amazing. The service is super freindly, and is very knowldegeable and informative about the different champagnes. The menu has delicious finger foods (caviar, cheeses, fruit, etc.). My only gripe is that they don't offer enough wines by the glass, but this is a champagne bar after all. No cover.
engagement – Last week my boyfriend and I went to the Bubble Lounge for drinks before dinner. We had been there before and of course we love it there. Well, this is the place he chose to pop the question. Now, the Bubble Lounge means even more to me. Bubble Lounge, you have always been my favorite place with your great service, cozy atmosphere and great champagne, but now I love you guys.
tres romantic – Is there a better champagne bar in New York? It is soooo romantic, with such a great staff and a super selection. Seems I'm not the only one liking the place since every time I go there is a nice crowd. I highly recommend The Bubble Lounge for any occasion.
Wretched. – Uncomfortable seats. Loud, obnoxious drunks. Snarky servers. My date spilled her drink on her pants. I walked to the bar, said, "Excuse me, do you have any napkins?" Bartender: "Napkins? No, no napkins." Waiter: "No, you'll have to go to the bathroom, and get yourself some toilet paper." I grabbed some napkins. We finished our drinks, went next door to No Moore Bar, and had a great time, with normal people.
Excellent Experience – This is one of those places you go to on a special occasion and have no problem spending a few bucks. The atmosphere is very romantic and the seating is so comfortable. Downstairs is a bit quieter. The cheese platter was huge and very tasty. The Strawberry Fondue was FANTASTIC!!!!! Feed it to your date with a fruity glass of bubbley and you will have an truely romatic evening. Because it is so popular, service may be a bit slow, but they are very friendly.
bubbling up – How can you go wrong here. Tends to get a bit over packed but, worth the trouble of getting bumped around if your into the bubbly. Billacart and salmon is a must. Offered in half bottles. Love the decor. Get here early to get a spot
lovely anniversary – we had a very nice, low-key evening here on Tuesday night, celebrating our one-year anniversary. nice jazz band playing, champagne cocktails and the cheese platter. We curled up on one of the couches towards the front (which does seem cut off from the rest of the place, I do agree with that) and just enjoyed ourselves.
