Compared to the first few times we've visited, i had to change my verdict on this place. The last couple of times it had merely been mediocre at best and the meat was dry. The quality has seemed to have gone downhill.
First time there today and I'm absolutely hooked. Had the brisket and I would say the best I ever had. My son had the chicken and ribs. He also said it's the best he ever had and loved the smoky flavor. Definitely going back and it helps its right down the street from me!!
Good smoky flavor. I enjoyed the pulled pork and the hash & rice. But here are the problems: I came to try the ribs and they were actually tough. Yes, tough. The sauce was too mustardy in my opinion. The potato salad was bland. First timer here, and considering all the raving reviews, I think this particular visit was a swing and a miss. That's unfortunate because I will be going somewhere else next time.
The service lacked, the food was okay...the ribs we're a little bit dry but everything else was good..
Some of the best BBQ I have in a long time. Ordered the brisket sandwich with collard greens and sweet tea. The brisket was smoked to perfection and not chewy or dry. The greens were out of this world. If I have to drown I'm drowning in B's collard greens. The blues music playing was also a great touch.
