Love the Bryant Park movies. If they continue to fill the hours before the movie with forced meditation, loud DJ music, and loud bands, they will ruin a great New York modern tradition.
Bryant Park is such an incredible place! I have done free yoga here, played backgammon and other board games, played group bingo, watched movies, enjoyed poetry readings, simply sat and contemplated the beautiful skyline, and basically enjoyed the spirit of NYC. It's clean and incredibly maintained. What a jewel of the city! Check the website for the amazing listing of events.

The HBO Film Festival in Bryant Park is my favorite New York activity. I can't recommend it highly enough.
