It is to complicated to get Dr Documentations asking for my Insurance, it is a challenge to get any papers needed for my disability. I was a month without pay waiting for Dr documentation.
Follow up care post surgery is non-existant. no one answers the phone - for hours and days on end. When they finally do, they don't do what you ask and you have to call back again and again (if you can get ahold of them). Dr. Witt pushes you to the nurse after surgery so you'll never see him again. Do yourself a favor - go somewhere else.
I made an appointment to see Dr. Witt, less then 24 hours before the appointment his office called to terminate the appointment because they failed to obtain the required authorization. This was not this first time an appointment was canceled at the last minute because the office staff did not obtain the authorization in advance. Dr. Witt also prescribed me medication that was not sent to the pharmacy, I called the office more then 4 times and left messages trying to get my medication. My 93 yr old dad fell and broke both radius and ulna bones near his wrist. He was taken to NCH where they said they couldn’t do surgery because of his age. They don’t like putting the elderly under general anesthesia because of the effects on cognitive function. Then Dr. Witt recommended doing the repair under a nerve block. Game changer!! Dad’s quality of life has improved dramatically, and he is no longer in pain. We found Dr. Witt to be kind, knowledgeable and awesome! Same with the staff in the office. My wife went in for knee pain, referred by NCH emergency, said she had torn meniscus, did surgery and then told me she did not have torn meniscus, couple months later said she needed total knee replacement, he did surgery with robot, surgery was a disaster, dropped foot,surgery took hours instead of two hrs, gave her way too many pain meds, He never called us to ask about her foot, I would not let him work on a dog.
My experience with Dr. Witt and his assistant Stephanie has been excellent. Very kind and caring people.
Dr.Witt removed a Palm Prong from my left hand. From our first meeting he was professional, knowledgeable and energetic. He treated me with patience and respect answering all my questions and putting me at ease. His staff in office and in the Hospital during surgery were excellent. He did a fabulous job performing procedure on me. I'm healing great and thank him for a fantastic job !
Dr. Witt is a very kind man who takes his time to listen to the patient and explain options for treatment. I felt heard and respected when I left his office. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Witt
