Had a lovely go visiting Brush for the first time. The hostess was super friendly and got a seat ready at the bar for me- the aesthetic of the place is super cute with low lighting which made it very comfortable. I tried the tekka roll, braised pork belly bao bun, and spicy tuna roll. I wasn’t a fan of the bao bun, I found it too oily/greasy with the bun falling apart as a result. Not worth the astronomical price. I would gladly pay for high end sushi flown in from Japan but this was not it. We got the sashimi and items off the nigiri menu (umi masu, chu toro, and madai). The slices were thin and tiny. $12 for a piece of toro and it barely had any marbling. Sushi rice tasted like it’s been made 5 hours ago, hard with no chew. Smallest sashimi in the world. We might as well gone to the rotating sushi bar. Fish quality was not bad but for the price I expected much better. Service was very subpar as well... read more

For 100$ a person it was disappointing. The sake was amazing. The server had no clue how anything worked and neither did we. The food was actually bad, especially considering the price. The only thing my party liked was the fried octopus balls and sake.
