The Recreation Center, or ‘Rec Center’, is our primary indoor recreation facility and the hub of indoor recreational programs and activities offered by the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department. This large facility contains a 22,000-square-foot field house, which is comprised of two basketball courts, a 590-foot indoor loop track, and men’s and women’s locker rooms. My wife and I spent the month of July 2025 staying in Brunswick. We both wanted a place to work out, and we found this facility. It is a great deal: You can join on a month-by-month basis for just $30 (no sign-up fee). There are cardio machines (treadmills, rowing, staircliming, etc.), basketball, pickleball, a weight room, and a 1/9th mile indoor track. It's open plenty of hours, and the staff is great. Really a great find. Bonus tip: it's just a short distance from the Wild Oats Bakery, which is outstanding.
