Dr. Bruce Allen is a well respected doctor who truly cares about his patients...and we care just as much about him!
Felt very rushed/shuffled. Did not introduce himself just kind of shuffled me on to the exam table and started an exam. Definitely not my favorite experience, especially when the exam involves laying hands on more private areas.
Dr. Allen comes across as a little dry on some days, and he can be comical on other days, but what's important to me is his experience. I would rather have an experienced doctor who doesn't talk much than to have a comedian doing his first surgery. He performed my surgery, which was a minimally invasive, laparoscopic, total hysterectomy, with fallopian tubes and ovaries, and I was confident that I was in good hands because he has done hundreds, if not thousands of these surgeries throughout his career. Office staff in the Drs. Allen office are always incredibly friendly and welcoming and Drs. Bruce Allen and [...] provide excellent care.
He delivered all my children so I've known him since before I had kids around 80's
The care was excellent
Did not introduce himself, I was clearly very very nervous about getting the IUD and he did not care just wanted to get in and get out. [...]
Expressed that I had pain during sex. All he did was the normal exam and said I'm fine. I asked what needs to happen so that I don't have pain during sex. Again, he said "I examed you. You're fine." Clearly I am not fine!
Dr. Allen is great. He is not only my Ob/Gyn but also is my mothers & grandmothers. He delivered my son, and 2 of my sisters. He is calm, knowledgable, and happy to answer any and all questions you have.
