We are an aircooled VW specialty shop in the heart of the nation. We also have extensive knowledge and skill of early watercooled dubs, primarily Vanagon. Browns has a solid reputation after 40 years. We’re old school and generally stock. Please wear a mask when entering our property in these harsh times. By appointment only. Travelers will always be prioritized.

Great service at great rates. This is the only garage I will go to.
Great shop! was told by other VW people to go here because he was established, honest, fair, and cares about his customers.. Brown doesn t let you down. Even when he uses other shops to assist he makes sure they do the work right too. He helped me for years with my 73 bus and got her running good again. When he couldn t find a part for my transmission he made the part! The guy is gold and has a great staff of knowledgable guys.
Incredible customer service!! Danny is very thorough and his prices are very reasonable for the work he does. Being female, its hard to find a mechanic that won t rip you off ( it s sad but true), but Danny is great! would recommend his shop to anyone!
I started going there because nobody else could do a decent job on my vintage VW, but I keep going there because they do good work and treat me fairly.
I ve been coming here for a few years. They specialize in VW s, but have always done an excellent job on my Fords. They re an auto shop you can really count on.
Even a woman can trust them Fair and reasonable. I would send my mother there .I trust them and feel they do the right thing.
I have taken my car and truck here several times over several years. I have always been treated well and been charged resonable prices. Brown Automotive is among the best in Kansas City.
