LOVE this bakery and so do my pups! I’ve been coming here for years to buy my dogs birthday cakes and treats. Today I showed up at exactly 7pm and they had just locked the door. But today is an extra special day because it’s my dogs 5th birthday. They opened up the door just so I could get him his birthday cake! Love this place and the employees!

I love this little store! I most enjoy that they have package free dog treats that I can bring my own bag to fill so I can continue to avoid plastic packaging. <3
We recently moved to Ankeny & this is my new favorite store! We have a yellow lab with elbow dysplasia. Everytime my husband and I have stopped in, the ladies have been super helpful! Very grateful to have Brown Dog Bakery here in Ankeny! When my husband went to stock up on a few supplies tonight, Kelsey (hopefully the spelling is correct!) gave him some great ideas of enrichment for our dog too! She is fantastic! Thanks for being awesome!!! Halo (our yellow lab) says thank you (ruff ruff)!
