Nicknamed the "Little Smokies" because of the area's resemblance to the Great Smoky Mountains, Brown County encompasses nearly 16,000 acres of rugged hills, ridges and fog-shrouded ravines. Glaciers from the most recent ice ages stopped short of the "hills o' Brown," but their meltwaters helped create the narrow ridges, steep slopes and deep gullies of Brown County State Park. Beautiful and well kept park. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to more trips in the future.
Our entire family goes camping here every year at the same rally site and have always loved it!!! This year we came and all the trees were cut down? We were also informed that even though we rent the entire rally site we now were only allowed a certain amount a tents and had to pay for any extra. We have never had to do this before. We may consider going somewhere else next year.
Had to pay 9.00 just to go to the lodge to have dinner. The dinner was horrible, cold food, slow service, won't be back!
Daughter had Wedding there last weekend. Even with all of the rain it was beautiful. She had a family cabin which was nice. We had a rustic cabin, while basic and old hotel style inside, it served its purpose.
