This paper does an excellent job of covering our local news. They emphasize community and give the a lot of space to the schools and kids. Good balance of reporting. I think they do the best they can to get information out as soon as possible while trying to make sure the facts are correct.

already a lame news source, and you expect me to subscribe to your on line, it takes me 5 min. to read this paper, who died, who's been arrested, and who gives a @#*&^%

I have read it for over 20 years, but since a untrue story was written about my son, which made him out to be a horrible person, was written, I will NOT read the Democrat Paper again. You need to check your sources, facts, and everyone's side of a story before you publish such a thing, and practically destroy a person!
