Even trip to Santa Barbara has to include a visit to Brophy Bros. Went there yesterday for dinner with my daughter around 5 and was seated immediately! We had our usual: the best tuna melt sandwich I've ever had. Service was great as usual. I can't wait until the next visit!

Up in Santa Barbara frequently and make sure we stop every other time we do visit. Can't find a comparable Oysters Rockefeller anywhere else. I haven't been disappointed with the rest of the menu either! They are normally busy which translates to very fresh seafood!
We both got sea bass with tarragon mustard cream sauce. The sauce was killer but the fish was so over cooked and dry. We were so hungry that we ate it anyway drenching it in the sauce. We don't send food back as a general rule but this was really offensive for any amount of money (let alone what they charged us there for over cooked fish). Just awful! We'll never go back. Please!!!......Don't do it!!!
Always my first stop at the coast. Excellent ! Fresh fish & a cold brew !
