I rented the house in Brookside Cottages and Resort from August 17 - 24, 2019. It has been 4 weeks since we checked out and I still have not received my $500 Security Deposit. Kurt promised me I would receive it in a couple weeks. Poor Customer Service!!!

Wonderful time with the family
This place is fantastic. There is nothing better than northern Michigan in the summer and Brookside has just been a great place for us each year.
This resort is our family tradition every year and we love it!!! So many memories made here and we will always continue to come back!
We recently had a family reunion at Brookside and had a BLAST but that's not why I am writing this review lol. A few days into our vacation I went into preterm labor and ended up having a baby while on vacation! We debated heading home once we were discharged from the hospital only because we didn't have a safe place for the baby to sleep. Without any mention of leaving, Kirt offered to drive to another property to get us a pack n play and offered to upgrade us to the lake house! Stayed for a long weekend with the family and had a blast! Kurt was fantastic and easy to work with. Rented a boat and did quite a bit of fishing; Duck Lake is a fantastic bass lake! Had a great time using the paddle boats, kayaks and paddle boards. The cottages are rustic but they are clean and all have fire pits and Webber kettle grills. Will definitely return!
Came last year and stayed in a cabin. This year stayed on a full hookup campsite. Had a blast - fishing, kayaking, pool, star gazing, campfires and venturing to the area lakes. Highly recommend Brookside Cottages! The girls spend hours jamming out and catching fish right from the dock. They caught about 250 or so small pan fish all week; 5 bass. Here is one of their bigger catches.
