Scam. I had a one time service and canceled. They continue to harass me with constant phone calls and texts. I paid for the service and they continue to bill me and threaten to send me to collections.
This company is a scam. They record you signing their documents to charge you additional $300 if you cancel their service, which they won't even perform. The customer service representative was rude and threatening. This business should not be allowed to continue, their representatives will lie to you about pricing and service, then ask you to sign on camera, where the contract will have different pricing and services.
They showed up and my door promised to get rid of the wasp nests without harming our bees.The sales guy quoted a townhouse cost but charged us the full 2-story charge. He said they would take an hour to 1:45 minutes to treat the wasp nests three in the front and three in the back of the house. They charged my credit card ( I'll never do this again). We don't get people coming to our door at all to solicit business, so on the day the person from Brooks Pest Control showed up I was already having a manic episode. I want to add, Brooks Pest showed up at our door a long time ago and my wife told them we were not interested, but they still came back. What I do remember is that I would have done or said anything to make the person go away. No local company here, yet they have been in my neighborhood for the last three days knocking on doors and making aggressive sales pitches. When asked to see a permit that is required for door to door sales, the young man rudely told me he doesnt have to show it. In our city you do. It must be displayed. I don't even want to put 1 star on this SCAM Company. If I could do 0 stars. I most definitely would. They will have anyone in the house hold sign the contact even if they are not the home owner. They put my name and my Initials on the contact but had my Mom sign the contract. I was out of town when they showed up to my house. They still charged me the cancellation fee.
My contract stated I have a 24-month contract which ended 6/2024. On 6/17/2024 I called to cancel my contract. The next day I they withdrew $271 for my account. When I called to find out why they told me it was for it was for early cancellation. I told them that I had 24 months agreement which was until 5/24. They refuse to refund me my money.
Brooks is the most deceptive group of people I have every done business with. I do not usually comment on things like this but these guys are outright liars. Nothing they say can be believed. an account Manager actually told my wife when she called to cancel. The sales people take a lot of liberties when selling the contract. In other words they LIE. Brooks Pest Control obviously is not confident in their product/service because they stoop to deception by saying you can cancel at anytime and do not mention that there is a huge penalty to do so. It is spelled out in the fine print...very fine print! The salesperson did not disclose this. We are very unhappy!That said, it has controlled the problem. But we will go with someone else at the end of this contract who will not stoop to deception rather than open disclosure. Integrity is important to us.
