I was desperate when I called Brookhaven and they were able to take me in right away. No, it's not a country club but I found the staff to be very friendly. The nurses try to accommodate everyone, but some people look to them to be personal servants which takes away from helping others. There are lots of activities to participate in too. that worst place I have ever been too, i looks like a rundown welfare hotel, none of the nurses can answer a simple question for you, the place is not kept clean the floors are sticky there are little gnats flying around, it is one the worst place for any kind of patient care. I fee like calling the press, the place should be closed down

Did this provider leave you unattended for an extended period of time? Yes, I was completely ignored for a long time! Did this provider ever dismiss your concerns as unimportant? Yes, they said I was overreacting, and I knew I wasn't Did this provider show attention to detail? Kind of, but not very much Did you feel like this provider's office was understaffed? Yes, I had to wait a long time before someone was able to help me Is this provider easy to reach in an emergency? No. It took me several times to get through.

Kind of, but I they could have been more understanding Did this provider prominently display their diplomas or business license? Definitely! I saw it as soon as I walked in!

I was given a brief greeting when I walked through the door, but no one made any sort of effort to help me. I was given no orientation regarding the facility, services, regulations, etc.They either didn't read my information or didn't pay any attention to it. This particularly applies to one social worker. Even though she had my information right in front of her, I kept having to explain it and remind her of what my primary physician had advised.
