AVOID ALL N ALL COST. If you go to this hospital, you take your life in your hands here. Take the extra 20 minutes to travel to other hospitals in the Patchogue area. After a couple of evenings in the emergency room on a cold, hard stretcher my very first night up on the units.They are not capable.My first night up stairs my bed caught on fire and they immediately move me to the hallway. I would really think twice about going to the hospital unless you got a broken bone or stubbed your knee. This is the second time that with my mother of 83 years old that they couldn't properly diagnose something and fix the problem. This is also the second time I have pulled her out of there only to bring her to Stony Brook University Hospital. I know she'll get the right care there.

Would give them less stars if I could. I was in a terrible car accident in 2014 and had lower back surgery. I went into the er in excruciating pain in my back right over my back scar. I waited a few hours until the PA came to see me and told me they would order an x ray or ct scan. They gave me Valium for pain which is a benzo and did nothing for me! The doctor eventually came over telling me there was no need for any imaging which is the entire reason I went to see what was going on in my back and to gain some sort of comfo... read more
