I want to recognize the Executive Director, Alexis Resides, at Brookdale Brown Creek, in Maryville, TN. Our Chef, for reasons unknown to me, is no longer here. Ms. Resides stepped in and has been cooking our meals this past week (a great improvement I might add). Thank you for caring and going above and beyond Alexis.
My parents have been in Brookdale less than 1 month. Communication is awful. I was not informed that out virtual assessment was only an estimate. So now my bill is an extra $1100. I was not informed about the pet deposit or paperwork needed. My dad was so brokenhearted when he couldn't take his best friend at first.. I was also not informed that Patriot's Angel would ask for $750 to have a lawyer work to get my dad's VA benefits. My father in law was living in Brookdale of Mesa. He passed at age 100. He was a man that did not give compliments easily. He loved living there. As he put it, it is more like living with family. All of the staff was do loving and caring. Many said we should have put him in a nursing home for his last few weeks. With the amazing staff and the help of Hospice at Home of Arizona, he had the piece of mind passing in the home he loved so much.
