Brookdale Monterey is a great place to work with. They are very supportive of all you do.
I drove to Lubbock to find my mother covered in bedsores. Covered in her own excrement. Crying and shaking. Please god, if the thought of your loved ones being abused and neglected makes you sick. Please do not bring them to brookdale.
This is a long review based on my mine and my family’s experience with having our loved one in Brookdale’s care. If you do not want to read all of it just know that if your loved one is on oxygen and needs help in the restroom do not bring them here. It is filthy and the staff are negligent. My great grandfather lived in this home and did not receive proper care. There were several times he would have bruises and black eyes and the staff could never tell us why. This goes to show that they do not regularly check on the residents. In addition to that, the place is just gross. It smells awful and is unclean.
