I don't recommend this place at all
The good director is essential to a good assisted living facility! Victoria is an amazing director! I was Recommended to this facility by the administrator of a very expensive, 4.9 out of 5 star assisted living because of Victoria being the director. I highly recommend placing your mother or grandmother here if she has moderate to severely progressed dementia/Alzheimer’s. From it’s A+ meals to it’s experienced, patient caregivers. The staff is very friendly and I have found them all to be knowledgeable and willing to explain and answer my questions. The environment seems to be focused on making life more than just sitting around for the residents and their individual needs. Especially enjoy Victoria's pleasant, personable and professional demeanor which is also reflected in her staff
Traci, You are very passionate about what you do and I was so very impressed! It was a pleasure to meet you as you provided so much information to me regarding care for my aging mom. I also wanted to express how valuable it was to me going over all the possible ideas of having her placed in various locations in Oregon as well as Arizona. At this time she refuses to move. Do not, do not, do not, put your loved ones in a brookdale facility especially East Mesa. The front office manager and executive director are seriously bad operators. If you love the ones you are looking for a home look elsewhere. They are being investigated by the state's ombudsmen. Staffing is pathetic. I will update this review. Finding a place can be difficult. Take Brookdale off your list. They paid an attorney $400 an hour to evict my mother for an amount (less than $1000). This went on for more than 3 months.
