It is still a good place to live but it has declined since I moved in. It is better than many other communities, but not perfect.
I’ve read the reviews that mention Executive Director Lisa Carlock, and I have to say—not a single lie was told. If you don’t believe those reviews, investigate for yourself. Here’s a question worth seriously considering: what does an Executive Director have to do to be trespassed from the very buildings she was in charge of? I saw the negative reviews and almost didn’t tour Brookdale Senior independent living apartments. But, I’m so glad we did! The reviews certainly don’t reflect the independent living apartments! My folks just moved in recently to the senior apartment community. If you are looking for a place, please check them out. You won’t be sorry. Everything is 5 stars about this place. I cannot recommend Brookdale Allenmore due to serious concerns about unethical behavior from Executive Director Lisa Carlock. Lisa once hired her girlfriend (whom she refers to as her “unmarried wife”), Ann Kershul, as the Dietary Manager despite a clear conflict of interest. Ann frequently took days off, rarely worked a full 40-hour week, and yet still appeared to be credited for full-time hours.
