I struggled with alcoholism and depression, and Brook Behavioral Health provided me with individualized addiction treatment. My sessions were planned by the therapists so I could focus on my anxiety and grief, which are key elements of my story. The key difference was that it wasn't a one-size-fits-all situation. Their ability to adapt treatments to each patient’s needs is impressive.
I committed to Brook Behavioral Health's long-term rehabilitation program after failing short-term programs. Over the course of several months, living with structure and support enabled me to finally overcome my deep-seated patterns. Beyond therapy it gave me a whole new perspective.
After years of substance abuse and withdrawal anxiety, I enrolled in their drug detox program. I felt safe, everything was handled professionally, and I was immediately placed in counseling by Brook Behavioral Health's staff. The whole thing went more smoothly than I thought it would.
This was the first recovery center that addressed both my substance use and trauma, though I've been to a few. Instead of just helping me quit using, Brook Behavioral Health provided me with the tools to understand who I am and why I was using, which opened my eyes to a healthy realization in life.
Fairly sure this place is a scam. I made the mistake (being mentally ill and what not) of trying to reach out in desperation for someone to help or somewhere to go. I've found what I need elsewhere (for the moment). But in the past two months, I've had at least five phone calls or text messages come up claiming to be from these people.
