Dr. Swanson is exceptionally good. He listens attentively, orders appropriate tests, and explains treatment options clearly. He entertains questions thoughtfully and answers honestly. His staff is good, too.

Was referred to this Dr after a biopsy came back showing I might have cancer in my thyroid. Wanted me to go for another biopsy. I told him I really didn't want to do another. He asked me why I wanted to be operated on, as if I was an old lady with nothing better to do. Replied to him that I didn't come there on my own, I was referred. He then grudgingly said he would operate. Never went back. Went to another Dr and they took half my thyroid out because of cancer. He was condescending and not very nice.
No bedside manner. How hard is it to introduce yourself. Smile. Be kind. While you perform an examination? The receptionist was fantastic. You'd think the doctor would reflect that. These days no one wants to tolerate mediocrity. Boooooo!
I took my son there some 3 or 4 times over the course of a few months for hearing loss (liquid in the inner ear). We were always on time, but we had to wait every single time (waits would rsnge from 30m to a full blown 2 hours. I even missed a work meeting because of this. When I complained to the doctor on the last visit (and presented facts), he seemed irritated and it felt like he was doing me a favor. Zero apologies. We left and we are never going back.
