THE WAIT WAS NOT LONG AT ALL, STAFF IS ALL SO SWEET AND CARING. LOVED DR WHIPPLE. HE IS VERY DOWN TO EARTH AND CARING. HAD GASTRIC SLEEVE ON 1/5/23.VERY EASY SURGERY AND RECOVERY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR.

Idk where all these good reviews come from. She got me addicted to adderal, and when I wanted to speak to her directly about it because it was a personal issue to me that I didn’t want to discuss with her nurse I got a letter discharging me from the practice because “I was abusive to the staff” not true at all so not true that I never had a problem since her at Memorial. A This doctor is the kind of doctor who throws pills at patients. Go next door there are better doctors that work for memorial than her.

I've been a patient since January 2019 and while I've made much improvement there's still flaws. Under pediatric care I have no real say in the meds I'm given so I just generally hope they're actually helping. It's sad that they don't remember/update your file. The most embarrassing thing though was when he told me I could take Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen makes anyone with IBD have intestinal bleeding. My boys have "outgrown" Dr. Rittmeyer but we've been seeing him over the years. He's the best at detecting problems and offering solutions. Patient relationship, too: even though there would be a year or more between visits, he'd still remember what my boys said or did during previous visits. Yes, there are long waits and you have to schedule an appointment well in advance. Yes, he might have to rush off if there is an emergency. But you know why? Because he's the best and everyone needs him.

I heard that the doctor wasn't the best. I wanted to give him and their office the benefit of the doubt. Afterall I worked in healthcare for over a decade, I get it! I had a number of bad experiences with the office (they didnt call me after they found a few things from my sons biopsy!! I called THEM 6 weeks later saying he was STILL puking ONE EXAMPLE), but the last straw was yesterday when my son had an appt with Alicia the NP. as a patient for the last 13 years, I would use no one else. She is knowledgeable, patient, explains conditions and offers solutions that work, She will refer me to a specialist when needed. Is easily reached through her patient portal, uses virtual visits when necessary, treats patients as family. Her staff is excellent. wait time is minimal, takes time needed to listen and explain things.
