Take a seat in the family-oriented ambiance and feast on some excellent Vietnamese food at Brodard. I love how these people are always smiling and greeting their customers warmly. There are other things that I would want to mention but it all sum it up to one, awesome place.

Bring a Vietnamese friend. – I would be completely lost if I'm not with a Vietnamese friend when I come here. They have a wide assortment of dishes to pick from, and figuring out what you're going to have can be an adventure. Most of the patrons are Vietnamese, as is the staff, so its best to be careful you make your order as clear as possible to avoid any misunderstandings later on. This is a large friendly restaurant that can accommodate a lunch group, or if you have children in your party. If you're Vietnamese you'll be a... read more

Had Better – I was in the area and I wanted to try Brodard, famous for their nem cuong. I thought the nem was a bit salty and the egg rolls were not crunchy enough. The sauce was also a bit water downed. The nem cuong was a bit pricey as well. I had a hard time looking for the restaurant because it was located in the back of a market next to the dumpsters which isn't really appealing. I had really authentic nem at Nem Nuong Ninh Hoa in Rosemead however the wait is a bit long but it's definitely worth it. They sell 4 rolls of... read more

Best Rolls – The best rolls around. This place is always packed at peak hours and just about every table order the rolls. They come in two choices. The nem cuong (grilled pork paste) or the chao tom cuong (grilled shrimp paste on sugar cane). They are both delicious. The sauce for these rolls are good, but a bit salty. I have not tasted a better roll yet in Southern California, or anywhere else. Except for when I visited central Vietnam, where this dish was originated and famous for.

Long Wait during lunch hour – 2)also, restaurant have some weird way of doing business.. let's say if someone front of you orders(catered) 200 rolls. you'll be waiting for your order in front of the restaurant until they are finished with customer that came before you. I strongly believe that is one of biggest issue brodard is having long wait. SO BE PRE-PARE TO WAIT LONG DURING THE LUNCH RUSH~

The Best!!! – A great place to try all types of authentic Vietnamese dishes. The place can be busy at times (lunch) so make sure you head over early. Also, they really close at 8:45 instead of 9. So get there before then, or else you'll have to order take out and it's only for the nem nuong. Overall, higher recommended!!

Best spring rolls in town – I love their spring rolls. Their egg rolls are also yummy. Their other dishes such as their salads and noodle dishes are also pretty tasty. If I can pry myself away from spring rolls (which will fill you up) I'll try more items. Go with a big group so you can sample all the different items. And get the Halo drink.
