Took my car in to get male end of block heater cord put on. It cost $55. Most other places charge $20, plus they slapped bright red tape on it which looks awful.
The guy who works at the front desk answering the phone is condescending and rude. When I asked about specific engine work needing to be done, he was abrupt, short, and could not wait to get me off the phone. He lacks customer service skills. I will not go back to their service station. They need a customer oriented and welcoming front line person.
A week ago I went to Fas Gas (Broadway and Taylor) to put air in my tires as the cold weather had deflated them a bit. The air hose was under a snow bank so they couldn't help me. But next door at Broadway Service, the attendant was pleasant and willingly arranged for someone to top up my tires. I had only $2 to give him - the cost of the air hose under the snow bank - but he wasn't about to charge me. Thanks for making my day!
I did some front end work on my SUV and needed an alignment. They contacted me back right away in the evening and had me in the next morning. They were great to work with and did an excellent job. As a bonus my kids enjoyed playing at the playground down the street so we never had to wait around, the car was done before my kids were done playing
