My mom came in this morning asking for a piece of lamb after calling ahead. When she arrived, she realized it was frozen and told the butchers that wouldn't work as she wanted it today. Their response was, "Well, guess you're shit out of luck." When she told them she'd need to go elsewhere, they waved her off: "Good luck with that!" My extended family has been shopping here for years, but no more. We aren't the kind of folks who expect to be fawned over; my mom and I both worked in food service. Seriously good cuts of meat and fresh and dried sausages. In addition to the meats, there’s also a selected assortment of imported European and locally made cheese. Very nice. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful, of course. There is also some locally made baked goods, sustainably raised grains and other staples, and prepared side dishes in the refrigerated case. This butcher shop is definitely a gem.
